During Ashtami, a Mata ki Chowki is a devotional program and gathering where devotees sing hymns (bhajans) and devotional songs to honor the goddess Durga and her various forms. It involves singing, music, and prayer to seek blessings, ward off evil, and bring prosperity, with the specific practice of Kanya Puja (worship of young girls)
